Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Confluence Bulk Operations application ("the app"), provided by Business Critical Apps ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.

The app is distributed through the Atlassian Marketplace and runs on the Atlassian Forge platform. Your use of Atlassian products and the Marketplace is also governed by Atlassian's own terms; these Terms cover only your use of the app itself.

1. The service

The app provides bulk content operations for Confluence Cloud — primarily find-and-replace across the pages of a space — with a dry-run preview before any change is made and an undo/rollback facility after changes are applied.

2. Licence to use

Subject to these Terms and any applicable subscription, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app within your Atlassian Cloud site(s) for your internal business purposes. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or sublicense the app except as permitted by law.

3. Subscriptions, billing and payment

The app is offered with a free tier and a paid tier. Where the app is paid, billing, collection, taxes, refunds, and license management are handled by Atlassian under the Atlassian Marketplace terms and your agreement with Atlassian — we do not process your payments or store your payment details. Paid features are enabled based on the license status reported by Atlassian for your installation.

4. Acceptable use

• Use the app only on Atlassian sites and content you are authorised to administer or edit.
• Do not use the app to violate any law, infringe rights, or breach your organisation's policies.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or circumvent the app's intended functionality or its free/paid limits.

5. Your responsibilities — bulk changes

The app performs bulk changes to your Confluence content. You are responsible for the operations you run and for reviewing them before applying. Specifically:

• Always review the dry-run preview before confirming a change. The preview is provided to help you verify scope and impact, but you remain responsible for the result.
• The undo facility is provided as a safety aid to reverse recent changes from stored snapshots. It is offered on a best-effort basis and is not a substitute for your own backups. We do not guarantee that every change can be reversed in all circumstances (for example, if a page is further edited, moved, or deleted after a change, or if undo history has been superseded).
• You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important content.

6. Data and privacy

Our handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary: the app runs within Atlassian's infrastructure, makes no external calls, stores no Atlassian API tokens, and stores only the pre-change snapshots needed to provide undo.

7. Intellectual property

The app, including its code, design, and documentation, is and remains our property. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you. Your Confluence content remains yours; we claim no ownership of it.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, CONTENT, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the app will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid for the app in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the liability, or (b) USD 50. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Term and termination

These Terms apply while the app is installed. You may stop using the app and uninstall it at any time; uninstalling removes the app's stored data from your site (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate the app or your access if you breach these Terms or if required for legal, security, or platform reasons.

11. Changes to the app and to these Terms

We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the app after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, United Kingdom, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence.
